Judith Leiber Couture and Katy Perry Debut Limited-Edition Mushroom-Inspired Minaudière
Judith Leiber Couture (JLC), a global luxury brand, partners with global superstar Katy Perry on a limited-edition mushroom minaudière. The wearable art piece was designed in collaboration with Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, Judith Leiber Couture’s Co-owner alongside Authentic Brands Group and Creative Director, and Jana Matheson, Judith Leiber Couture’s Chief Creative Officer.
Celebrating the theme of Perry’s Las Vegas residency, “PLAY,” the mushroom minaudière blends the singer’s whimsical spirit with Judith Leiber’s bold and playful aesthetic. Katy’s love of the brand is evident throughout some of her most notable red carpet looks, from her show-stopping Met Gala ensemble, which included Leiber’s delectable hamburger clutch to her chic football-inspired look, complete with a crystal encrusted football clutch, at the NFL Honors this past year.
“I’m delighted to unveil this collaboration with Judith Leiber Couture for my show, PLAY. I’ve had an affinity for these dazzling minaudières from the moment that I could afford one! This exclusive piece is the ultimate memorabilia for PLAY,” said Katy Perry.
The mushroom minaudière has over 10,000 handset crystals in shades of bright Red Siam blended into a range of saturated scarlet and bordeaux faceted crystals. The stem is shaded in a gradient range of crystals using warm and light gold with opal accents. The opulent cap is textured with flat back pearls in multiple sizes to create texture and dimension. Each piece is meticulously hand-painted, with a polished brass frame and a removable shoulder chain that includes the Katy Perry PLAY medallion. The interior is lined with metallic leather.

The Judith Leiber Couture x Katy Perry minaudière retails for $6,195 online at JudithLeiber.com and in-store at the Judith Leiber boutique in Resorts World Las Vegas. Specialty and luxury retailers will carry the bag starting Fall 2022.
