It’s Now or Never: “Elvis” Officially Premieres in Theaters Around the World

"Elvis," the epic, big-screen spectacle directed by Oscar-nominated Baz Luhrmann, opens in theaters around the world on June 24. Ahead of the highly anticipated release, ABG takes a look back at the red carpet appearances, press junkets and exclusive events leading up to the cinematic drama’s official premiere.

“Elvis” on the Red Carpet

The ensemble cast of “Elvis” embarked on a whirlwind promotional tour to drum up buzz for the film, which officially premiered last month at the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival, where it received a whopping 12-minute standing ovation. It marked the longest moment of applause for a film that debuted this year at the prestigious festival.

Earlier this month, ABG Founder, Chairman and CEO Jamie Salter and wife Sheryl Salter joined Austin Butler, Olivia DeJonge, Tom Hanks and more “Elvis” cast members at a special screening event held at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keough were also in attendance.

Baz Luhrmann and Austin Butler also joined the Presley family this week at the iconic TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, where Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keough were honored at the official Hand and Footprint Ceremony.
