Authentic Brands Group to Drive Growth and Strengthen Partnerships Across Asia Pacific
Authentic Brands Group (Authentic), a global brand development and licensing platform, today announced the official launch of its Asia-Pacific (APAC) headquarters in Shanghai, China. Jamie Salter, Founder, Chairman & CEO, Matt Maddox, Wesley Chu, President, APAC, Josh Perlman, EVP, Head of Greater China, and Authentic partner David Beckham attended the event.
The establishment of Authentic’s APAC HQ marks a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy and underscores its commitment to serving key markets around the world. The fully operational office will support Authentic’s growing brand portfolio and network of best-in-class partners across the Greater China region and APAC market.
“Shanghai is a dynamic city and is the right home for our APAC headquarters, with China presenting great opportunities for growth,” said Salter. “The opening of our Shanghai office reflects our confidence in the region and commitment to building strong, localized partnerships that unlock the full potential of our brands.”
Authentic is the world’s leading owner of sports, lifestyle and entertainment intellectual property, with a portfolio of more than 50 global brands, generating approximately $32 billion in annual system side retail sales. Authentic’s APAC HQ, located in the heart of Shanghai, spans nearly 2,000 square meters and includes five immersive showrooms, a dedicated Style Studio, an executive lounge and state-of-the-art features. Since its founding in 2010, Authentic has pursued a deliberate strategy of global growth through regional hubs tailored to local markets. The launch of Authentic’s APAC HQ follows the opening of its EMEA headquarters in 2024, further solidifying the company’s “Think Global, Act Local” strategy, centered around leveraging global scale with local expertise.
“This approach not only allows our growing employee network to have dedicated places to connect with one another, but also provides hubs to bring in partners and offer the full Authentic experience in a singular space,” said Maddox. “With the opening of our APAC HQ, Authentic reinforces its strategy of building regional centers of excellence in the world’s most influential markets.”
