Hunter Celebrates 170 Years of Iconic Style with Kate Moss

The global campaign brings together two British icons to mark a defining anniversary and celebrate a relationship more than two decades in the making.

Hunter marks its 170th anniversary with a new global campaign starring Kate Moss, bringing together two British icons whose longstanding relationship reflects Hunter's enduring place in style and culture.

Founded in 1856, Hunter has spent nearly two centuries creating products built for life outdoors. At the heart of that legacy is the Original Tall Wellington Boot, a functional design that has transcended its roots to become an unmistakable symbol of the brand, embraced across generations and settings far beyond the field.

Few figures embody that evolution more naturally than Kate Moss. Her relationship with Hunter spans more than two decades, beginning long before a partnership, when she made the Original Tall Wellington Boot an unmistakable part of her off-duty style. These moments became iconic, inspiring countless festival looks and becoming part of Hunter's cultural legacy along the way.

“I’ve been a loyal fan of Hunter for years, ever since the festival where I wore them with way too short shorts and a waistcoat,” said Moss. “I was just about to leave the house and heard it was already knee high in mud in the fields. I went to my trusted Hunter wellies in my closet. They were black and were tighter to the leg and they were waterproof. Bingo!”

The “Iconic by Nature” Campaign

Now, Hunter reunites with Moss for “Iconic by Nature,” a global Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign that honors the past while looking firmly toward the future.

The campaign captures the individuality, instinct and effortless attitude that have long connected Moss and Hunter. Rooted in the landscape and countryside culture that have shaped Hunter from the beginning, the imagery layers the brand's utilitarian heritage with Moss' unmistakable style, connecting past and present through a distinctly modern lens.

“Hunter has never had to choose between its heritage and cultural relevance,” said Stefani Fleurant, executive vice president of marketing, sport and lifestyle at Authentic Brands Group, owner of the Hunter brand. “The two have always been connected. Kate embodies that in a way few people can. Her relationship with Hunter began organically more than two decades ago and became part of the brand's story. Bringing her into our 170th anniversary is both a celebration of that history and a statement about where Hunter is going next.”

On Sept. 25, the campaign launches globally across digital, social, retail and out-of-home channels, anchoring Hunter's 170th anniversary celebrations and setting the tone for its next chapter.

The Autumn/Winter 2026 Collection

The 170th anniversary extends from the campaign into Hunter's Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, bringing the brand's past, present and future together through heritage icons, contemporary design and technical innovation expanding outside of traditional rubber Wellington boots.

  • Europe: Across Europe, the collection is led by the 170th Anniversary Original Tall Wellington Boot in Hunter Green, a faithful recreation of the first Original Tall, right down to the original colour. Returning in Hunter's earliest green colourway, the commemorative edition features bespoke gold hardware and the original heritage badge bearing “Since 1856.” The European assortment also includes the Downpour Tall Boot in Black and Elements Neoprene Chelsea Boot in Black, alongside the Original Women's Waterproof Tartan Jacket, Unisex Downpour Izzy PU Hooded Jacket and Elements Lemhi Sonic Welded PU Puffer Jacket. These have been specially selected around three defining pillars: Heritage, Contemporary and Innovation, reflected in the Originals, Downpour and Elements collections. Each pillar represents a key chapter in Hunter’s past, present and future, while celebrating the craftsmanship that continues to shape the brand today.

  • U.S. and Canada: In the U.S. and Canada, the collection evolves Hunter's unmistakable design codes, pairing the Original Tall Wellington Boot in Black Croco with the Giania in Chocolate Brown Waterproof Suede Tall Boot and Maribel Puffy Snow Bootie in Brown. Together, the styles balance an enduring Hunter icon with elevated textures and fashion-forward silhouettes, while outerwear and sportswear, including the Bex Signature Hunting Jacket with PU Collar and Harrington Zip, extend the brand's expression beyond footwear for the season.

Hunter's Autumn/Winter 2026 collection is available now at hunterboots.co.uk, hunterboots.com, Nordstrom.com and Anthropologie.com.

The “Iconic by Nature” campaign and Autumn/Winter 2026 collection celebrate 170 years of Hunter while looking firmly ahead, honoring the people, products and defining codes that have shaped the brand while reimagining its legacy for a new generation.
