Davos Debrief: Authentic and David Beckham at the World Economic Forum

 

Leading dignitaries, public figures and heads of state from more than 130 countries gathered this week in Davos, Switzerland, for the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum.

Authentic Founder, Chairman and CEO Jamie Salter joined partner and Living Legend David Beckham as two of the esteemed 3,000 guests at the summit, held under the theme “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age.”

 

 
 
 

2025 CRYSTAL AWARD WINNER: DAVID BECKHAM

The highlight of the trip: David Beckham was honored with the Crystal Award in recognition of his long-term philanthropic work and dedication to social change. A champion for the rights of vulnerable children, David Beckham has used his influential platform and resources to make a difference around the world, particularly in crisis-stricken areas.

Beckham also sat down with CNBC anchor Sara Eisen at the official World Economic Forum reception, where he discussed his journey as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador as well as his partnership with Authentic and Salter. "I wanted to take my business to the next level and the scale that he has done to Authentic is what I wanted to do with my business,” said Beckham, who touted Authentic's ability to unlock the full potential of his brand.

A FIRESIDE CHAT WITH UNICEF

Celebrating two decades as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Beckham also participated in the humanitarian aid agency’s fireside chat, “Shaping Dreams, Changing Futures: Empowering the Next Generation of Girls at Goals House.”

During the discussion, Beckham spoke with UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell, with whom he discussed the critical need for gender equality and empowerment of girls.

He also highlighted the persistent challenges they face globally, including poverty, violence and discrimination.
